“We are blushing”

Shout Out to our Sponsors

We are blushing! We are 45 years into running the Orillia Scottish Festival. And we can’t say thank you enough to all our supporters. Not only do we have patrons supporting the festival through a donation for a button, we also have sponsors. Please check out and/or stop/shop into these businesses to offer your thanks too.

Thankful for all supporters of the Festival!

For 45 years the #cityoforillia has been a partner and supporter of the Orillia Scottish Festival. The festival has been a repeated beneficiary of the City of Orillia Cultural Festivals and Events Grant Program and city staff – from city hall to employees in the park – have worked in partnership to navigate the logistics of our parade, park set up, permits and most recently, relocation to Tudhope Park. The Orillia Scottish Festival is thankful for the ongoing support as we work towards 2024!
We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of the Dunkley Charitable Foundation for their five year financial commitment to the Orillia Scottish Festival. A new supporter of the OSF, the Dunkley Charitable Foundation has been supportive of many initiatives in Orillia, and the Orillia Scottish Festival committee is overwhelmed by their ongoing commitment to our event. As we plan ahead to July 19, 20, 21, 2024, we hope to bring new entertainment and features for another entertaining and fun weekend!
For the past few years, the friendly folks at Scottish Highlands Golf (Scottish Hills) have generously provided golf carts for our use to navigate the park on Saturday, easily allowing our volunteers to respond to tasks throughout the park and assist our attendees, and what a difference it makes for us! We couldn’t be more grateful for their kindness.
When you’re looking for a day of golf, this beautiful and unique 12 hole course definitely won’t disappoint! Located at 4282 Monck Road. #thankyou #orilliascottishfestival #golf #12holes #orillia #community #fore #teeitup #donations
We are so very grateful to the kind folks at Layzee Acres RV Sales. Once again they loaned us a trailer to use as our festival headquarters in the park, giving us a secure spot to operate for the day. The continued generosity of Layzee Acres RV Sales is appreciated! Located on Highway 12 in Atherley, be sure to visit them when shopping for a new RV.
Thankful for our friends at Quayle’s Brewery for their continuous support over the past couple of years. From hosting the festival during our Tartan Day events and fundraisers to our supplier of Scottish ale. If you haven’t had the chance to have the Quayle’s experience it’s a great option for a beer in a beautiful setting, or if you are looking for a venue for a special event, be sure to talk to their helpful staff.
We are grateful for our friends at Oscar’s Variety for supporting us with button sales the past couple of years. Our buttons are a crucial source of income for us, ensuring we can return year after year. Be sure to stop in and check them out, located on Mississaga Street East between Peter and West.
Thank you to #mariposafolkfestival for their patience and support during our move to Tudhope Park this summer. Their knowledge, advice and loan of equipment contributed to the success of our event.
Thankful for our friends at TripVia Tours. TripVia Tours has worked with us to help bring our weekend festival schedule to the digital world for easy access by our attendees. Want to explore with a road trip? Checkout a wide range of options on TripVia Tours to lead you on an adventure!
We were excited to have Turf Tech and Orillia Junior C Hockey Team partner with us as co-sponsors of our Friday night Ceilidh! We wish the team luck with their upcoming season – it’s shaping up to be a great one!
Thank you to Trail Walk Cafe located at the Legion. Trail Walk Cafe offered a discount to those wearing a festival button ON FESTIVAL WEEKEND and assisted us with button sales! Looking for a great breakfast option? Look no further and try this hidden gem!
Thankful for our friends at Legion Branch 34 Orillia, our partners for the past 45 years, and the generous support they have provided in many forms – from administration support to running the festival pub.
Thankful for our friends at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church for hosting the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan during festival weekends. Always a welcoming community for anyone who is looking for fellowship.
Thankful for the City of Orillia, RCL Branch 34, Pipes and Drums. Members of the pipe band have been heavily involved with the festival over the past 45 years, from serving on the festival committee to doing “extra duty” during festival weekend entertaining at the Ceilidh and other events that have taken place over the years. We are grateful for the continued support and collaboration.
We appreciate our friends with the Pipes and Drums of Canada. A regular attendee of our festival, the Pipes and Drums of Canada generously performs (after their Sunday practice session) during our afternoon Sunday ceilidh at the Legion on festival weekend. With so many pipers and drummers filling the room, the sound is incredible! We wish them safe travels as they tour Scotland next summer…..after they are hopefully able to join us Orillia Scottish Festival on July 19, 20, 21, 2024. 😉
Thankful for our friends at Orser Technical Services. They have been our resource for all things electrical, particularly ensuring our food vendors have power; grateful that we can rely on them during festival weekend!
Thank you to Orillia OPP and Orillia Fire Department. One of the most popular events on Festival weekend is the Emergency Services Challenge, and we were grateful for the time they were able to spend with us this year. We cannot thank them enough for being good sports and the kids (both young and old) get a huge kick out of the “competition”, and the younger kids love talking to the men and women who protect and serve our community.
